The main goal of the DIGIGREENVET project is to modernize and strengthen Vocational Education and Training (VET) systems by equipping learners, educators, and institutions with critical digital and green skills that align with evolving labor market demands. VET systems serve as a bridge between education and labor markets, ensuring that individuals develop industry-relevant, practical skills.
However, the rapid pace of digitalization and sustainability demands have outpaced traditional VET curricula, creating a significant gap between training programs and real-world employer needs. The project aims to bridge the gap between education and industry, ensuring that VET graduates are well-prepared to join the modern workforce.
Project Objectives
The DigiGreenVET project aims to enhance the capacity of Albanian VET institutions by modernizing training programs, integrating digital and green skills, and fostering stronger industry collaboration to align vocational education with labor market demands. By equipping VET learners and educators with cutting-edge digital and sustainability competencies, the project will bridge the existing skills gap, increase employability, and support Albania’s transition to a technology-driven, green economy.
This initiative is aligned with the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in VET call, which seeks to:
1
Strengthen cooperation between VET providers and industry stakeholders to ensure training remains responsive to economic and environmental developments.
2
Improve the quality and relevance of VET curricula by embedding green competencies and digital innovation into learning pathways.
3
Enhance accessibility to vocational education, ensuring that disadvantaged and marginalized learners can benefit from high-quality training.
